Volunteer Today
Helping Hands
We are looking for passionate people who want to put their skills to work!
Are you ready to make a difference and eager to contribute your time and talents? We’re looking for enthusiastic individuals like YOU to lend a helping hand at this year’s conference!

Volunteers are the heartbeat of the Nevus Outreach Conference, dedicating their time and efforts to craft unforgettable experiences for all attendees. Whether your passion lies in children’s activities, event logistics, or behind-the-scenes support, there’s a perfect role awaiting you.

We understand that your time is valuable, so we offer flexible volunteer opportunities tailored to align with your schedule and preferences. Whether you can offer a couple of hours or want to dive into a more immersive role, we warmly welcome your support.

You may already know Beth Carlson, a cherished member of our community recognized for her contributions at numerous past conferences. We’re thrilled to announce that Beth will graciously be resuming her role as volunteer coordinator for the upcoming 2024 conference, armed with her exceptional organizational skills. As a devoted mother to 14-year-old nevus owner Sully, Beth brings a deeply personal connection to her commitment, ensuring each volunteer experience is heartfelt and meaningful. With Beth on board, we are confident in the success of the volunteer coordination efforts.

Here is a sneak-peek at a few ways you can volunteer:
-
Supervising kids’ activities, including field trips and art projects
-
Assisting with registration and information booths
-
Welcoming attendees and assisting with physician consultations
-
Helping with the silent auction and social events like the ice cream social and talent show
-
Serving as a mentor or ambassador for new families
-
Capturing special moments as a photographer
-
Hosting breakout sessions
-
Securing donations, sponsors, or vendors (this is a great way to support us even if you cannot attend the conference!)
This year, we’ve also implemented significant enhancements to the volunteer recruitment process, to ensure the well-being of all participants. Specifically, certain roles involving direct interaction with young people (i.e. chaperones and daycare assistants) will require volunteers to undergo background checks, reinforcing a secure environment for all involved. This will be at no cost to the volunteer and is a secure process being done by a third-party, accredited institution to ensure the protection of your information and privacy.

Feeling inspired and ready to sign up?
Here is how it will work:
-
Complete the volunteer application at nevusconference.com/signmeup
-
Beth will review the applications and contact applicants via the email provided.
-
If a background check is required, additional directions will be given.
-
You will be notified of your confirmation, and if applicable, given further instructions on how to schedule the shifts that work best for you.
Approximately 2 weeks prior to the conference, Beth will confirm your schedule and provide comprehensive details and instructions pertaining to your role.

We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in embracing these enhancements to our volunteer program. Your commitment to the safety and success of the conference is greatly valued, and we look forward to another memorable and secure gathering in 2024.
